We don’t know what, but there is something wrong with our cat Oliver. FYI, he has been deaf since birth. Ever since we got back from our honeymoon, he has been acting very strangely. Just before our wedding he injured himself and had a nasty gash on his front right leg. It got stitched up and is healing fine now, but we’re really worried that he has gone totally insane. He is attacking himself all the time, he walks around growling, grumbling, and hissing, and sometimes it’s hard to calm him down. The fact that we can calm him down is the one shred of hope I’m clinging too right now.

We’re taking him to the vet tonight to get him checked out. Maybe he’s trying to tell us that something’s wrong with him… that’s what we’re hoping for in any case.

Post-wedding life has begun! And I’m happy to report that nothing has changed 🙂 We came back from the Dominican well-rested but happy to be back home. We really missed our cats and our families. And ahem DSL.

First of all, the wedding went off without a hitch! There was some last-minute hyperventilating right before the ceremony as we had no idea where the band was… but they showed up with a minute to spare. We both remembered all our lines at the ceremony. Neither of us could remember how long the whole thing took, but it was far and away the happiest moment of my life.

The reception was tons of fun. We danced up a storm and so did a lot of other people. The music was great and no one got hurt, although apparently some cupcakes were thrown…

But we had an early flight to catch, so we left the reception and went straight to the airport hotel.

    More about our trip later…

    post We’re back!

We survived two weeks in the Dominican, and we got back yesterday afternoon. There’s lots to do and today we’re opening wedding presents and stuff… more later and photos soon.

Tomorrow, Sandy and I are getting married. That’s a really bad photo of our wedding rings. They were designed by my sister and made by an artist here in Toronto.

If I’ve been incommunicado as of late, well, this is why 🙂 After the wedding we’ll be jetting off for two weeks of sun and no internet access in the Dominican Republic. If you need me, don’t e-mail me…

    See you around all.

    That’s what’s going on.

The preparations are going fairly smoothly though.

Right now, installing Java on Manrake 9.2 is pissing me off (why are you coredumping! ARRGH!) as well as Mozilla 1.6 (no, I didn’t double click, don’t open 15 messages in separate windows now, also don’t close TWO tabs, just one please!)

We are packed for our trip already and the thought of doing nothing in paradise for two weeks is really really starting to look good.
