  • once i had a dream

Last night I dreamt of a time machine that was shaped like a dolphin and flew through the air, and that someone I used to work with last year was now on the street and selling Outreach papers (I bought one)

  • good luck

This is for all my friends at UTS writing exams this week. (Well, OK, mainly for Mere and Jor, but anyone else who wants to claim it is welcome)

  • meat

Sentient meat exists, at least in someone’s warped mind.

  • coffee is the nectar of the gods

I learned how to use the enigmatic coffee maker at work today! w00t!

  • 12th warrior

Bjorn Lynne is one of the greatest composers of our time IMO. My favourite album of his has got to be his latest, Revive. It’s so good I posted a comment on his web board when it came out, and I actually got quoted on the page!

Thanks to Tony for Pylon of the Month, which it probably the most boring site ever conceived. Not only that, but all of the photos are taked in depressing overcast conditions (or at least it seems that way). Stereotypical British dreariness.

I watched Trekkies on TMN last night. It was a really, really interesting documentary. I thought it was very well done. They talked to a lot of interesting people, and the majority of them were not the total wackos that most people think Trekkies are.

My Shopping List (in no particular order):

    • 128MB PC100 SDRAM DIMM
    • SCSI DVD drive (which will probably require me to rewire vast amounts of my SCSI bus)
    • the Perl Black Book
  • outlaw the bomb

today has been… interesting. I slept in until 10:30 this morning – meaning I was way late for work. crap. Then for some reason I finally got introduced to our project tracking system. A little late I think… oh well.

    Song: Coldcut – Atomic Moog
Hooray for Chemlab for keeping me sane at work. This is one of my fave tracxks that I requested this afternoon.

  • not much of this makes sense to me

I like how the construction crews on Sheppard ave. spraypaint on the sketchy temporary sidewalks. Sometimes it’s arrows with big block letters that say “Walk Here”, other times it’s an arbitrarily drawn orange line on the ground with “look” written next to it.

This is a bomb website where people describe where they work. In honest words. It’s fairly refreshing, actually.

    Song: Guster – Happy Frappy
See today’s subject. That’s basicially what Saturday was like: it made very little sense. Lots of things happened, some good, some bad, some weird.

  • i’d like an order of fries, a quarter pounder with cheese,
i love the light in your eyes, will you go out with me please?

Released NewtDump today. I’ve been working on it on and off for a few months now. It’s finally become release-worthy. yay me.

In case you haven’t noticed the menu, I’m now a member of the BlogCanada webring. w00t!

    I fixed the pictures. Rejoice.

This morning I woke up and realized that it was the weekend. Slowly, other things dawned on me as well: I don’t have to get up if I don’t want to, I’m all alone in the house, I’m going out this evening. It was rather different from what I usually do in the mornings now: jump up, give my alarm clock (read: cell phone) a whack, jump in the shower, etc etc until I get to work at around 10 to 9. Hrm.

I think I need more caffeine still: I had a cup of coffee and two Penguin Mints and I still have a headache.

NO!!! IE4 is NOT an IMAGE EDITOR!!!!! RRRAGRAGAGHH!!!

Song: Barenaked Ladies – McDonalds Girl
This is a truly bizzare song. I am in love with a McDonalds Girl / She has a smile of innocence so tender and warm / I am in love with a McDonalds Girl / She is an angel in a polyester uniform. It also has a short hip-hop interlude in the middle. It’s not on any album. There she stands behind the register / She’s taking orders from the Saddle River Little League / If they knew how much I wanted her / Their homeroom teachers would have to send them home for a week

  • the net just exploded, methinks..

Right now, /. is down, and so is PlanetNewton, meaning no news and no NewtonTalk mailing list. So really, I’m bored. I’m testing this script that’s going to run on a server (but I know it’s going to work fine) and then I have nothing to do. And it’s raining like a mofo right now. I did get paid though 🙂

Okay, so my script failed the first time through, but I fixed it now, really I did.

No, I still haven’t rotated the photos on the pictures page yet. I’ll get around to it tonight, I swear.

  • new slashmaps are up

version 0.1 of the OPN #/. map is up. I got smart this time and generated it with xplanet and made a markers file with everyone’s ICBM coordinates 🙂 A few people are a bit off, but they’ll be fixed soon.
